The subject line should be: [State Name] Title of Play. \nFill out a short Google Form to help us keep track of your play. \nBroom Street Theater has been road-tripping the United States one region at a time since 2023 by curating a short play festival featuring stories about each of our “united” states. Previous installments have featured the Midwest\, the Northeast\, and the Pacific regions. This year\, we’re heading into the Mountain States. We are accepting short plays connected to one of these states: \nArizona\nColorado\nIdaho\nMontana\nNevada\nNew Mexico\nUtah\nWyoming \nWhat we’re looking for:\nPlays should be up to 10 minutes long (shorter is preferred).\nStories rooted in\, haunted by\, or unfolding in one of the states above\nYou don’t have to live there\, just bring us a story that belongs there\nHow to submit:\nFill out the Google Form\nAttach your script to an email and send it to submissions@bstonline.org with the subject line: [State Name] Title of Play (If you can’t use the form\, just email the script; the form helps us stay organized.)\nWhat you get:\nEach selected play will be produced in Madison\, Wisconsin as part of Broom Street Theater’s 2026 production of Our Home States. This workshop was constructed with the embodied poet in mind. You can expect meditation\, poetry\, improvisational monologuing\, and movement-based expression. Gaspard is deeply engaged with themes of perception\, mystique\, and the pursuit of Truth\, with impulse and instinct serving as pivotal forces in her creative process.
