Tragic times call for tragic measures. There are dark deeds afoot under our Capitol dome. How do the people respond? Some carry signs in protest, and some sign petitions – and if you are a playwright, you write a play. Broom Street Theater is proud to present The Lamentable Tragedie of Scott Walker, written and directed by Doug Reed. Penned in a “Fakespearian” style, The Lamentable Tragedie of Scott Walker is an account of Wisconsin’s recent political upheaval, complete with soliloquies, swordfights, and codpieces.
The Lamentable Tragedie of Scott Walker is brought to the Broom Street stage by a talented troupe of performers. Jake Penner, Jason Compton, Katherine Boomsma, Dylan Brogan, Nolan Veldey, Gemma Veldey, Elena Tabachnick, Ben Otto, Brandelynn Turner, Caitlin Robb, Ray Olderman, Betsy Wood, Ilsa Reed, Robin Delaquess, Collin Erickson, and Elizabeth Gokey make up this impressive cast.
