Audition: Dragonsocks and the Queen of the Universe

Auditions for Dragonsocks and the Queen of the Universe

Written by local playwright Brendon Smith

Directed by Suzan Kurry (Artistic Director of KR Women’s Theater)

Josephine is spiteful, bitter, sharp-tongued, and absolutely certain everyone in the nearby town hates her—especially after she decked someone she thought was her sister. With nowhere else to turn, her adult child, Reg, brings Indy, a prototype robotic caregiver with infinite patience. What follows is a comedy fueled by stubbornness, sarcasm, and unexpected heart, asking whether it’s ever possible to rewrite our programming—human or otherwise.

    • Sunday, August 30 from 1 PM – 3 PM
    • Monday, August 31 from 7:15 PM -10 PM

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. You’re welcome to prepare a short monologue if you’d like, but it’s not required.

Performances will be October 30 – November 15
